Hi everyone, it’s Mardi Gras lov’n Al from Shenanigans,
It’s that time again, a little past the actual “Fat Tuesday” date but not by that much, it was February 13th; so, why not celebrate Mardi Gras with us at the Happy 2 Hours on this Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. You do not want to miss this one, it’s one of the most fun parties we throw at Shenanigans. If you are new to the village, you’ll know soon enough what I mean.
I’m sure most of you know the practice of tossing out Mardi Gras necklace beads to those on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, but guess what, you won’t need to go there because I bought a whole bunch of new designed Mardi Gras colorful beads for you. Now if you have some beads of your own, wear them, but we will still give you one to wear until they are all gone. In case you don’t know, the three colors the beads come in are gold, green, and purple. Don’t forget to come dressed in fun colors, you know what the colors are now. It’s also common for people to wear a fun fancy mask at these events, so feel free to do so. Maybe this is one Happy2Hours that you don’t show up too late and find the beads all handed out. Just saying.
That’s just the start of the event, we have special cocktails designed for the day, if you’ll like to try one from us. Norm and Renee at the Signature Bar will be offering our “Madness Punch” again; our Mixologist Gus has several good ideas for you, but he will offer theTop Shelf “Rum Runner” again if you’d like to have one. However, you can ask our bartenders for anything you’d prefer, it’s a good bet they could make it for you.
The Mardi Gras appetizers are some of the best ones we offer during the year. Diane and her Kitchen Magicians will offer Gumbo, in multiple versions too! I know there will be more, such as Beignets and King Cake for dessert, however, you’ll need to come and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
How could we throw a Mardi Gras party without some music? We will, thanks to Karen Hellar. Whatever she has planned will certainly be a welcomed addition to the party. So, to wrap it up, mark your calendar for Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to attend Shenanigan’s big Mardi Gras Party.
