Happy2Hours Update

Jan 13, 2022

HI from Shenanigans,

Here we are at the first Happy2Hours for 2022. Well, almost there, it’s coming on Saturday January 15th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the clubhouse.

I believe I may speak for the Shenanigans Squad when I thank you for supporting us for as long as you have. We’ve lost a couple of members recently, as most of you know my wife Dianna passed away just before New Years and I was shocked to find out that Chuck Maxson, one of our bartenders for as long as I’ve been here, has passed away right after New Years as well.

If I’m not being too presumptuous, may I suggest that we celebrate the lives of those we’ve lost and keep their memories alive and part of our functions. I know for a fact Dianna loved selling drink tickets and meeting all of you. However, due to her failing health last year, she had to give up the task to Colleen Jones who stepped up for us and continues on in that role. Chuck loved being behind the bar and helping with the setup tasks, plus was quick with a joke and never lost his smile; it may have covered him for forgetting to wear his hearing device once in a while. He also had health issues that kept him away for a while, however, the moment he felt up to the task, he was there to volunteer his time. I’m suggesting that we all celebrate them every time you attend a Shenanigans event. Perhaps they’ll be shining down on us with the smiles we loved to see on them.

Chef Diane Perry, told me it’s okay to let you know, we will have those free appetizers once again for you. Okay, these are her fun names for them, “Beanie Weenies” and “Chili Weenies.” She’s found more recipes for those great Costco Hot Dogs that we all love. I’m not sure how they will fit into my NOOM Diet Plan, but hey, I’ll take a day off of the diet, who’s gonna know, huh. Haha. I also heard yesterday that our Village Band will not be able to provide the live music this time, but they’ll be back again soon.

We will have our whole bar available for you and we will still offer our Happy2Hour prices of 2 for $5.00 for regular cocktails, beer and wine. Shenanigans’ over a dozen Top Shelf Premium Brands will stay at $5.00 which as you already know, is outrageously low-priced; that is, if you’ve ever ordered one in a restaurant over the last several years. I’m so pleased that you have agreed with me on having a broad selection of cocktails and brands available. I’ll do my best to keep the selection improved and I’m always interested in hearing from you on how we may improve your experiences with us.

I hope to see you on Saturday and expect another Blast Out Letter from Shenanigans for the Elvis Dinner Show coming up on Saturday the 22nd. I’ve got a few fun “Elvis” cocktails to tell you about, I bet you already have an idea; you may be right!

Al Fichera,

Bar Manager
