Hi, it’s me, well-seasoned (or should that be ‘corned’) AL again.
It’s that time once more, Corned Beef and all the veggies, plus Green Beer! Well maybe not so much just green beer, but you’ll never know for sure unless you ask for it!
Our Mixologist, Mark Fagley, has some cocktail ideas to help celebrate St. Pat’s this year; ask him what he has in mind for you, you might just like one of them. Our Specialty Bar Area will feature a green drink, of course we will, just how many events can you name when we can pull out our green cocktails. Please don’t bother telling me, you’ll probably come up with more than I can think of myself anyway.
We featured the “Rockin’ Leprechaun” at the Specialty Bar once before, and you know it was pretty darn tasty, so why not give it a second shot. It has a unique color, kinda green, and has a definite orange flavor. Well, it’s kinda green because orange juice and Blue Curaçao (blue orange flavored booze) make it green, kinda. Now if the orange juice was yellow, it would definitely be more than just kinda green. So, let’s use our imaginations once more, remember, imagination? It’s the make believe section of our brain some of us forgot how to use. Well, we all have our reasons, I guess. Anyhow, we make this cocktail with rum and it’s pretty darn good, and kinda green, sorta.
I probably ought to remind you this is a Potluck Event which means it starts later (5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) than our Happy2Hour Events and regular pricing is in effect. Sad I know. Hey in a couple of weeks it will be Happy2Hours again only this time its all about the “Great Gatsby” theme and we’ve got some good ideas for that, too. But I’m not gonna tell you about that until my next letter, sorry life can be unfair at times. 😢 Hey, the way time flies lately, it will be over before we know it!
Well, I hope I did my job well enough to see you in a few days! Wear something green, it’s tradition you know. If you can’t find something green, buy one of our green cocktails and show ‘em your green!
