Please collect and bring to the clubhouse at the Farmer’s Market time, between 10:00 and 11:00 AM on Fridays and leave outside the side door to the Kitchen or call Martha. I will collect them after Farmer’s Market time is over.
Do not leave items throughout the week. Just deliver on the designated time only. PLEASE.
Please Separate as they are processed or used in different ways.
· Biodegradable Egg Cartons (used to create planting pots)
· Tea Bags & Coffee or tea grounds (I will have a bucket to drop these in)
· Plastic Gallon sized Milk Jugs with lids
· Egg Shells
– Pumpkins
· Shredded regular paper or advertisements not shiny or glossy (No shiny/glossy paper please)
· Food Grade 5 gallon buckets with lids. No paint buckets please. If you have a free source, please let me know or just grab them and let me know. I will pick up if needed.
If you call me, I can identify where to drop off the following stuff as well:
· Organic waste only such as: peelings, vegetables, napkins, hand towels, hair, the more cut up the better. (no seeds, no oily paper products or meat products or cat or dog poop)
· Green leaves, bush trimmings, small twigs. No weeds or intrusive plants/vines/mint.
These items will be used to maintain the two areas designated in the Lakeview Village Garden Areas as compost piles and worm farms that will be available when ready for those using the garden spaces. If we start right now it may possibly be ready to use as compost by planting in the Spring. Also the other items collected will be available during planting time on Fridays along with tips as to how it will help you in your garden.
