Hi everyone, it’s Shenanigans Al again with another wordy letter.
What’s all Green, Gold, and Purple? I know, I know, it’s the colors of Mardi Gras! So what do I win?
A chance to go to a “Fat Saturday” Happy 2 Hours. Isn’t that supposed to be called “Fat Tuesday?” Come to think of it, that’s today, too, but it’s also “Taco Tuesday;” somehow, that’s just not right! But, I digress.
So, will you accept a “Fat Saturday Happy 2 Hours” invite from us instead, where we can “pass a good time” together this Saturday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm? Allow me to continue, “This is one Happy 2 Hours you cannot miss, period!” Why Dat? Because Diane Perry and her kitchen crew will bring on the N’awlins Creole gumbo and rice, hot shrimp dip, bread pudding with lemon sauce topped with Chantilly cream and of course, some of Colleen Jones’ King Cake. And it’s not gonna cost you one single cent; it’s our once a year treat for you. Of course we will be tempting you with one of our tasty cocktails though.
Wait, but there’s more! At our Main Bar, Mixologist Gus will be happy to create a traditional and delicious Mardi Gras Rum Runner cocktail to wash it all down. But that’s not all folks, our Signature Bar with Norm and Renee will be offering you our very own Mardi Gras Madness Punch. You’re just gonna need to taste one for yourself; what can I say? Oh yeah, there’s gonna be live music, too, Karen Hellar will bring her keyboard and just maybe some of you will join her for a song or two.Don’t worry Sam and Brian, you’ll get your Pizza Karaoke nights again soon enough.
A special thanks goes to Diane Perry for loving Mardi Gras so much that she goes the distance to see that we get to enjoy the “Good Eats” that make the event so special. You must not miss this, change your calendar; gonna get married Saturday? Wait until Sunday, like it’s just a day, right? Going on a cruise, tell them to hold the ship, you’ll be free after 6:00 pm. No excuses please, or you’ll need to wait a whole year before we do it again. Just saying!
