Hi everyone, it’s “Tiny Bubbles Al”again!
I’m sure I can guarantee that this is for the last time before the next time comes again! Or something like that.
I was so sure that I would be able to blab some of the appetizers coming out of the kitchen for you Saturday, however, I did ask in my last announcement, if anyone knew someone who could teach us the Hula for the Luau, I’d let you know what at least one of the appetizers would be. Alas, narya peep about hula teachers available. And I was gonna have neat prizes for that too. Oh well, no hula contest, I guess.
So, I’ll fill you in with a couple of things I did hear about this week. Well, they were more as queries into the Luau. There is a misconception out there that it costs $5.00 to come to the Luau, nope! Others asked if the appetizers cost, again nope! I don’t even charge for the Silk Lei’s all the way from Hawaii that we will hand out to the first 100 guests in attendance. Since it is a Happy Hour and an extended version as well, regular cocktails including my authentic and most delicious Mai Tai will be two drinks for $5.00; now if you only want one drink, we’ll need to charge you $3.00 for a single ticket. Sorry we don’t mess with quarters and half-dollars, just the paper stuff. Besides, I’d lose my best ticket salesperson, Colleen in a heartbeat if I brought her a roll of quarters, she might throw them right back at me, and I don’t move as fast as I once did!
Lastly, at least I hope it is, our Shenanigans Squad will be setting up the bar from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and we expect to be open for you at 4:00 pm all the way until 7:00 pm. (It takes a good hour for us to setup everything for you, and almost the same for the clean-up at the closing time. I hope you appreciate all the volunteers that work hard to make these events fun for you.)
Whoops, this is the last thing. Diane Perry and her Kitchen Magicians will be setting up appetizers at 4:30pm, 5:15pm, and 6:00pm for the Luau. The timing will allow them more table space for all the tasty treats they have in store for you. So, when you return to your table with your second delicious Mai Tai, stop by our appetizers tables to see what’s new. I promise you everything sounds yummy, too bad I can’t tell you more, just come join us on Saturday and taste for yourself. Plus, don’t forget to wear your Hawaiian inspired clothes, I have prizes for the best!
See you at the Luau,
“Tiny Bubbles Al” (I sure hope some of you know where I got the “Tiny Bubble” thing.)
