It’s Oktoberfest Time!

Oct 11, 2023

Hi everyone, guess what? It’s Oktoberfest Time!

I don’t know about you, but wasn’t it just Oktoberfest, like a little while ago! Has it been a year already? Time does fly when you’re having too much fun, I guess. Well, since it’s that time again, let’s get ready for some Oktoberfest fun!

We’ll have the music, thanks to Karen Hellar; maybe a sing-along song or two, such as “In the Garden,”(I know that one as the “Beer-barrel Polka.”) Of course, you can expect that we’ll have some Oktoberfest Beer and spiced wine on hand. How could we not expect something awesome and fantastic from Diane Perry and her Kitchen Magician helpers, too. Diane reports that they will have Brat/Brot pieces(however you spell them),done with peppers and onions, plus sauerkraut with bacon and apples and other good stuff inside. Yes, for those wishing a more vegetarian sauerkraut, she will have you covered as well. And then how could we not expect some soft warm pretzels with beer cheese to round out the plate of appetizers. Can you smell the YUMMY?

Throughout the year we have several Happy2Hour events that are themed, Oktoberfest ranks right up therewith the best of them. I made sure we have special Oktoberfest beer on hand, and a special spiced Sangria for those wishing something other than a cold brewski. You can expect the main bar to have a cocktail idea or two for you, just ask them what’s good tonight?

Now men, don’t be shy, it’s okay to take out your lederhosen you buried in the back of your closet, and don’t forget the Alpine Tyrolean hat, as well. Ladies don’t let the men out dress you, it’s time to bring out your Dirndl dress from storage once again. Not a requirement, but it sure will make the event a lot more fun for all of us!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Bavarian themed clothing might be fun to wear, but it’s not mandatory; just so you know, haha. That ought to cover it. See you Saturday, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Shenanigans Bar Manager
