I’m excited to tell you all about our First Annual Chili Cook-Off coming on Saturday January thirteenth’s Happy2Hour 4:00 time slot. I know this is not the first you’ve read anything about it yet, our team members are as excited about the Cook-Off as much as me. What a way to start a new year, huh! And there’s so much more new fun events coming this year for me to get excited about, too.
The idea of a Chili Cook-Off just took off like a rocket to the moon. Everyone connected with Shenanigans Happy2Hour are on board to make this a must attend annual event. Before you think this was my idea, it came from our team members first, Norm and Diane took the reins, and I jumped on board before I missed the train! At first, I wondered if we’d get enough volunteer chili makers to make this work, well that got answered during the Social Committee meeting immediately, we had several willing to share their own recipe and go for the prize. The prizes came next, and we had three prizes donated, this was a bullet train right from the start.
Now here comes the best part for the rest of us, come join us on the 13th Happy2Hour, and prepare to feast on chili, a lot more than I’m allowed to say in this message, but stay tuned, I’ll be back with more information later. Oh, BTW, don’t go eating a big lunch before you come, okay. There’s gonna be palette cleansing stuff between little bowls of chili, and of course, it’s Shenanigans Happy2Hours, I’m gonna have something cool and delicious to drink as well. Right now, I’m thinking that a cool slushy lime Daiquiri might be perfect at our two for five-dollar prices. Okay, I promised myself to keep these promos short and sweet, and that’s almost impossible for me to do. However, I also promised myself to do at least two more promos before the event. There’s so much to tell you, I hope I don’t forget!
