“Year of the Dragon”

Hi everyone, it’s “Year of the Dragon” Al!

A couple of things to talk about today, to keep it as short as I can. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE CHILI LOVERS OF LAKEVIEW VILLAGE! What a great idea for a Happy2Hours event and a tasty one at that! Thanks to all the contestants for entering their chili recipe, you were all winners in my book! The other big winners were the crowd that came to taste and vote for their favorite chili recipe. Hopefully, you’ll all consider entering or attending it again next year for the 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off. Chili winners, your job is to defend your title next year, the pressure is on!

Now for the reason for this message, Shenanigans’ first ever Chinese New Year event is coming this Saturday the 27th at 4:00 p.m. This is another event to not miss because we are trying our best to make it a two-hours worthy of doing again next year. This is the ‘Year of the Dragon’ which made it fun to create the graphics for you. The main bar will be offering their “Dragon’s Bite” top-shelf cocktail, it’s a tasty one made with Bacardi’s Dragon Berry Rum with other tasty stuff! The signature bar will offer their two for five dollars “Cherry Moon Cocktail” featuring Smirnoff’s Cherry Vodka, it ought to go well with what Diane Perry’s kitchen crew have come up with for your free appetizers. Diane reports that they will have Potstickers, why not huh! How about some Spring Rolls, sure sounds good to me; top it with Cathy Jones special Fried Rice, yum! Moreover, how could we not have some Fortune Cookies to wrap up the good eats? We will of course!

Folks, this is just the start of a great new year of Shenanigans’ events! January with a Chili Cook-Off and now the Chinese New Year Happy2Hours. There will be several newer ideas for you to enjoy as well as the regular events we can’t do without. I honestly cannot wait to fill you in as we get closer to those events. So, I’ll say for the Shenanigans and Kitchen crews, we can’t wait to see you next time.
