Here I am, just as I promised you with the second unabashed promo for our Shenanigans Luau this Saturday from 4:00 p.m .to 6:00 p.m. This time with information about the appetizers that Diane and her Kitchen Magicians are preparing for us this year.
One of Diane Perry’s Kitchen Magicians, Lori Withers will be making her famous Peanut Shrimp Appetizer. The rest of the sumptuous Hawaiian appetizer menu agreed upon will include: *Huli Huli Chicken Wings (*a sweet yet savory Hawaiian flavor with a hint of spice) with Pineapple Teriyaki Salsa; tropically inspired Hawaiian Macaroni Salad; a tropical Fruit Salad with Pineapple, Mango, and Strawberries. And then for Dessert you all can have a piece of my delicious Hawaiian Birthday Cake. (I had a chance to have a preview sample taste and it’s a solid ten in my book!) How’s that for a selection of appetizers to mentally transport you directly to the Hawaiian Islands for a couple of hours! Well, with a Mai Tai in one hand it would be even easier! This year for the first time, we will offer a Rum-free version of our Mai Tai; it’s essentially a tropical punch for those who would like one.
BTW, have you had a chance to see our brand-new Luau Banner yet? I think it looks really awesome! (If I must say so myself! I might have had something to do with it, ya think?!) So, I hope you are now well motivated to come join us this Saturday, besides it’s the best reason we have to dive into the rarely used closet and find that Hawaiian shirt or muumuu, or that sexy grass skirt; I know there’s at least one out there, I’ve seen it! (Ya can’t unsee that! Haha.) We’ll have some leis and other tropical decorations to give you at the door. And please don’t be shy in front of my camera, I’m planning ahead to create another YouTube video for my channel to share with you on the Lakeview Village Facebook page. Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch a moment or two with all of you in attendance. Perhaps you’ll share the video with your family and friends showing how much fun it is living in such a great village.
