We have another fun event planned for you on Saturday, September 7th from 4 to 6 pm. It’s Shenanigans Homecoming Event. We’ve put a lot of thought into this event as usual for us, but this time we turned the calendar back to the1970’s, which I think we all have a memory of, right? We contacted Sam and Brian to see if they would like to be our DJs for a 70’s Disco Party for the event, and they gladly agreed. The disco era had so many musical artists contributing to the genre, such as: ABBA, Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, the Village People and so many more, I bet you’ll hear something that brings back some cool memories.
I specifically remember a cocktail I loved from that period myself, it was one of the top 70’s cocktails, so I’m offering it to you from our Signature Bar as a regular priced cocktail. It’s a Harvey Wallbanger which is really a kicked-up Screwdriver Cocktail; you can order either way though. Our Main Bar will try to recreate some of the other famous cocktails of the period as well, don’t be afraid to ask them if they can make it for you. The number one cocktail of the 70’s was the Harvey Wallbanger, here are a few that made the top 20 list: Brandy Alexander, Tequila Sunrise, Old Fashioned, White Russian, and Rum and Coke.
Diane and her Kitchen Magicians are on board too, with appetizers that fit the theme and homecoming event. In fact, Diane Perry had the ideas for September’s Happy2Hours events which includes another H2H party on the 28th of September. I’ll leave the theme of that party for another blast out posting when we get closer to that date.
Hope to see you here in the spirit of the 70’s. I don’t have a clue where my gold chain necklace is any longer, but I’ll do my best to feel fifty years younger, haha, ya, right!
