ALERT: THE JANUARY 2025 CHILI COOK-OFF

Hey all you Lakeview Village chili lovers, it is now time to think about Shenanigans’ Second Annual 2025 Chili Cook-Off coming on January 11^th. Our first cook-off event was a resounding success, and it was decided without delay that a Chili Cook-Off should be held every year. So, it is now time to alert you of the following:

There can only be 16 contestants allowed to enter the contest. The reason for that number has more to do with electrical outlets than the desire to limit contestants. Your chili entry must be prepared and cooked at your home, not the clubhouse. You are to bring your chili entry in your own crockpot, plus a recipe card that includes the ingredients, to alert anyone with allergy concerns. We will supply all the serving needs for you as usual.

It is time now, really NOW, to get your entry intentions off to either Judy Wilson at (916) 878-7125 or Colleen Jones 1+(571) 594-4680 and let them know of your desire without haste.

If you are one of Shenanigans’ top three place winners from the first cook-off wishing to keep your title, or someone wanting to be one of our next champions, please do not let a few days get in the way from being one of the sixteen 2025 contestants.

For the rest of us, we might suggest a fasting diet for a week before the event.  Sixteen chilis to taste and then possibly re-taste to be sure, could add to our waistlines! We are thinking about wearing stretchy pants this year ourselves! Haha!
