Have you ever wanted to be on a jury in a high-profile murder case?
Maybe you’re wondering what it would be like to be on a jury?
    Well, here is your chance.
Jack Barry, the author of the two Lone Ranger radio plays that were presented last year here at Lakeview Village, has written a courtroom drama.
It is a court case that features the judge, the prosecutor, the defense attorney, and witnesses. Your job will be to be the jury. At the end of the trial, you will vote on whether the defendant is guilty or innocent of a murder charge.
There will be two separate chances to be on the jury, March 1st at 5:00 pm and March 2nd at 2:00 pm. Tickets go on sale Feb 25, 26 and 27 at $10 per person, but get your tickets early. The Lone Ranger Radio show sold out in a day and a half and this will be a sold out event as well.
It is a court case that features the judge, the prosecutor, the defense attorney, and witnesses. Your job will be to be the jury. At the end of the trial, you will vote on whether the defendant is guilty or innocent of a murder charge.
The prosecution alleges that two women, Kathy Toby and Arianna Sterle, colluded in an elaborate scheme designed to conceal their acquaintance and complicity. Their purported ruse involved claiming ignorance of each other’s existence; however, the prosecution’s aim is to demonstrate that not only did Kathy Toby and Arianna Sterle know one another, but they also met deliberately at a local gym where they were both engaged in a fitness class. It is alleged, that at the fitness club they conspired to kill each other’s husband giving each of them an alibi, thus directing suspicion away from each of them.
The district attorney claims to have evidence that will show that Kathy Toby murdered Arianna Sterle’s husband on December 12th of 2019 using a historically significant firearm, specifically a .44 caliber 1850 Colt Army Revolver, which was in the possession of her own husband. It is alleged that she fatally shot him once in the head at extremely close range and shot him again in the neck, while he lay on the ground. Furthermore, Arianna Sterle is accused of the premeditated attempt to kill Kathy Toby’s husband. It is claimed that she committed this act by deliberately trying to hit him with a vehicle as he was exiting his car near a convenience store,  resulting in injuries that have left him with semi-permanent paralysis. Mrs. Sterle will be tried in a separate case. By the end of this trial, the district attorney anticipates that the evidence will be so convincing that you will find Kathy Toby guilty of a charge of murder in the first degree.
