This Saturday February 22, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm we will celebrate Mardi Gras at Shenanigans as a SUPER Happy2Hours. I’m sure some of you know that the SUPER versions of our Happy2Hours feature a little more of everything. It’s the bar and kitchen’s way of paying you back for being such wonderful company for us each time.
This year, as in the past, Diane Perry brings out her New Orleans cookbook and we get to try her Gumbo recipes. This year, there will be three to try, Chicken and Andouille Sausage, Shrimp and Andouille Sausage, and a vegetarian option as well. Of course rice will accompany the gumbo and Beignets top off the appetizer list. I hope that those of you planning on joining us on Saturday will offer your thanks for these lovely ladies who spend their free time making these wonderful appetizers for us.
The Signature Bar will have our Mardi Gras Madness Punch for you, it might be just the cocktail to go with some Gumbo! Maybe? Well, the main bar can find something else if you want though. No matter what you want to drink, I bet it will go quite nicely with the appetizers the Kitchen Magicians have prepared for us this year.
I will see that Mardi Gras Beads are handed out as you arrive, it’s tradition you know. Well, let’s not go to what the real tradition is though, ha ha. I’m also thinking about the great music that New Orleans is known for, and maybe we might get a small dose of it on Saturday from Sam and Brian our famous DJs. All in all, I think we will show you a good time on Saturday and I hope to see you there celebrating with us for the “Fat Tuesday” event, which means Easter is well on it’s way.
