It’s been a year since we’ve done this; truthfully, it’s only been nine months and twenty-three days, but who is counting anyway! So, here we are with another “Disco” themed Happy2Hours for you again. On Saturday, June 28th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm you get to cruise back a few decades and relive some of the music of the era from the music library of Brian and Sam. If the music moves you to the dance floor, awesome, go for it.
I mentioned a year go, okay several months ago, that there were many musical artists who contributed to that genre, such as: ABBA, Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, the Village People, just to mention a few. Trust me on this, Brian and Sam know a lot more of them than what I mentioned.
Just so you understand, this is not a concert Happy2Hours, just one of the many themes we come up with from time to time. I heard that the Kitchen Magicians will be offering “Disco Chicken Bites,” okay, your guess is as good as mine, you’ll just need to see for yourself. As usual, anything else is a secret that even I need to see for myself! The Magicians love to spring a cool surprise each time, yeah, you gotta love that.
Last time I reintroduced a period cocktail from the 70s and it was an amazing surprise hit! I guess some of us in the village kinda remembered the cocktail and ordered it from the Signature Bar. So, we will offer it again. It’s a “Harvey Wallbanger,” which is really a kicked-up Screwdriver cocktail. In case you are not aware of what the “Wallbanger” part is, it’s Galliano, that very Italian, very yellow, and very anise and vanilla flavored liquor that we float on top of the screwdriver cocktail. Just a little float is all that’s needed, and it transforms the screwdriver into perfection. Okay, maybe if you are an Italian. However, if you would rather, we leave off the “Italian Wallbanger” part, you can walk away with a regular Screwdriver cocktail, and no one will know the better, unless you tell them!
