Hi Everyone!
Well I did promise you at least one more Happy2Hours email to remind you that our Octoberfest would be coming your way soon. Remember, it’s on Saturday 10-16 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. So, I didn’t lie to you!
Let me apologize for Mom Nature, she thought gale force winds would be exactly the most exciting way to enter the realm of Octoberfest this week for us. Yeah, bad choice Mom! I lost my Exit Bulletin Board Octoberfest sign twice due to those nasty high winds. I found the sign the first time almost at the edge of the dry creek; good thing, too, because if it dropped below it would have to stay there! I also experienced walking on a few years of old dried leaves getting out to the sign. Did you know you can sink about four inches on each step when walking out there? And you have no idea what’s below those leaves, too! Well, it blew away again and it’s staying wherever it landed this time! Later on, the wind made a quick sail of our Happy2Hours Banner Judy Wilson was trying to hang for us and took out one of the clubhouse lawn lights. Wow!
Anyhow, back to the Octoberfest. Please come join us, it’s gonna be outside for the last time this year. I checked my weather app and it’s supposed to be 83 degrees on Saturday. However, by the next Happy2Hours in November, it will be dark early and maybe a little too cold to be outside. What a good reason to come join us Saturday, huh?
Karen Hellar told me the Village Band will be out there with us playing some polka music, how perfect will that be! And, Chef Diane spent the last weekend shopping for Brats and other treats to snack on. Who knew Brats were on the endangered species list? It took shopping at several stores to find them for us. Please thank her kindly for going above and beyond to make the Octoberfest perfect once more for us.
Norm Schoch and I inventoried our bar stock this week so I could go shopping for the event, too. I did find some Octoberfest Beer and restocked our regular selections for you as well. We will have a full open bar and Happy2Hours pricing will be in effect. Beer, wine, regular cocktails are still 2 for $5.00; one cocktail at $3.00; and any Top Shelf Brand or cocktail at $5.00. Help us keep the Happy2Hours pricing in effect and please only use the blue 2 for $5.00 drink tickets for Happy Hour. We really cannot accept those blue Happy2Hours tickets at any other Lakeview Village event. Thank you for understanding and helping us to keep Happy2Hour a unique event for our village.
As you more than likely know, our prices are CRAZY CHEAP! Whether it’s a regular or Happy Hour drink price, there is no other place where you can find this value; okay, so staying home and drinking your own booze could challenge that comment, otherwise… really! And FREE appetizers, too!
Hey, come join us, wear something German, if I like it, I might have a special gift for you. I’ll be wearing my German hat but no Lederhosen for me, however, Dianna will have her German Octoberfest outfit on though! It’s really cute, too!
