Another home break-in happened sometime last week while the resident’s were away on vacation. They came home to discover their home had been robbed. Jewelry and electronics were stolen. They had left a window open and no car in the driveway. PLEASE REMEMBER TO CLOSE AND SECURE ALL WINDOWS BEFORE LEAVING YOUR HOME!!
Turn on lights inside and out and notify neighbors and police while away on vacation. Leave TV, radio, etc. on inside and leave a vehicle in the driveway.
Let your NEIGHBORHOOD AWARENESS TEAM know you are gone as well. Please try to take these BASIC PRECAUTIONS SERIOUSLY before going away for an extended period of time. This latest incident occurred in the Alden Lane area.
On another note, an older red pick up with a white camper shell was spotted driving slowly and appeared to be casing the area around Hidden Brook and Daisy a few days ago. When they realized someone started following them, they sped up and raced out of the neighborhood. No license # was obtained.
If you see a pickup truck matching this description, call the police immediately! Try to take a picture or get a license # if it is safe to do so. DO NOT STOP or INTERACT WITH THESE FOLKS! Call 911. Thanks so much for your attention to this matter.
