Bottles and Cans

I love Lakeview Village! This month’s collection was a success! Thanks to all who donated. Many thanks go to our hardworking volunteers who collect, sort and recycle the bottles and cans each month. We raised $457.33 for the month of April. We collected 581 lbs. of glass, 298 lbs. of plastic and 155 lbs. of aluminum cans. Again, I wish to thank everyone who donated to this fundraiser. Next pick up day is Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 9am.

Thank you for sorting your bottles and cans. Please make sure there is no trash in bags containing your donation of redeemable bottles and cans. Please see the photo showing  examples of items that typically end up in our bags. These items should be placed in your regular recycle. Taking these measures makes it easier on our volunteers. Remember, don’t remove the labels from the bottles and cans. The recycler will refuse to take them. Look for the letters: CA CV on the label of the container to see if it qualifies to recycle for money.

If you want to join in on the FUN, we can always use volunteers. We meet at: 6921 Hidden Brook Lane at 9 a.m., on the second Tuesday of every month. We had a poacher again this month. If anyone sees or knows about bags being taken or disappearing, please let me know. I have been going around early to pick up bags and minimize theft. I drive a white Ford F150 pickup. If you see me don’t worry I’m on it !
