As you drivers must be aware, we now have parades of both ducks and their ducklings as well as geese and their goslings waddling down our streets as they show off their new families. Please be respectful of our feathered and web-footed neighbors and stop and give them the right of way. It will only take a few seconds to let the parade pass by.
While we’re on the subject of the water fowl, please don’t feed them when you’re out for a walk or when your visitors want to view the lake. If you can’t resist the urge to feed them PLEASE DO NOT FEED THEM BREAD. It is not good for them, has no nutritional value and gets moldy in the water making it more unhealthy. If you must feed them try some frozen peas, cracked corn, oats or cut up grapes.
