Another Break-in…
Sometime around 2 AM on Wednesday, April 13, a resident returned home to an intruder in the bedroom. The police were called and arrived in 10 minutes with a drone. It appears jewelry was the only thing stolen. The perp was not found.
According to the police, no visible signs of entry were found except for possibly the slider on the side of the house. The police discovered that this particular slider had been installed backwards meaning it is easy to remove one side, enter the home, and pop it back in when done.
The resident described the perpetrator as a white male, 40 to 50 years of age, approximately 6 ft tall with a scraggly beard and looked homeless… if you see anyone in the park matching this description, call the police immediately!
On another note, a resident casually mentioned to an NA coordinator that he saw someone shining a flashlight into the backyards of homes located on the green belt behind Summerset around 2:30 AM (about the same time as the break-in). He did not call the police. PLEASE CALL THE POLICE WHE N YOU NOTICE ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS!!!
