Guest Speaker on Avoiding Internet Fraud at the Neighborhood Awareness Meeting January 18th at 6 pm

Jan 10, 2023

I have an acceptance of an offer for a Guest Speaker to our Next Neighborhood Awareness meeting January 18th at 6 pm.    I sincerely hope that the recent situation with the New Year’s Eve Party does not discourage many of our residents from attending this important meaning .  To make some people more comfortable I will space out chairs and anyone wishing to wear mask may do so without judgment.

Anyone that uses the Internet needs this information.  Many of us see attacks on our computers and cell phones every day.   If you deal with Face Book, of Phishing e-mail or constantly changing Passwords, or have Software vulnerabilities, you need to know what to do. How do we stop the Bad Guys from trying to interfere and steal our personal information?  I may have stepped out of bounds a little by inviting him to a Neighborhood Awareness Meeting but thought it was important enough to do so.  We will still open discussion on other issues if anyone wishes to discuss.   I have invited anyone that is in the Computer Club to come, as well.  In fact, they are allowing us to use their Projector.  I heard this Power Point Presentation by Alan Baker about Avoiding Internet Fraud and I wanted to bring him here as soon as possible as Internet Fraud is increasing rapidly.
