Kathy Cooley called to order the Lakeview Village Social Committee meeting on October 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. There were no new residents attending the meeting.

Old Business:
Concert in the Park: Kathy reported that the event was well attended (151 tickets were sold) and everyone had a great time. The Association made $427 profit.
The band Crystal Image was very good.

Barbara Streisand: This event in March is going forward. The cost will be approximately $1,800 and ticket sales will cover the cost. Tickets will be $20 ea.
New Residents Committee: Peggy Hillis reported that committee members have visited thirteen homes out of the twenty-four new residents. The newcomer’s booklet is almost ready for print. A new advertiser has volunteered to pay for the printing. We are seeing more new owners attending events. 4 homes closed in September, 13 homes on the market and 7 are pending.
Bar: Al Fichera reported that the Octoberfest was a big success. People liked the music and the Chicken Dance. There is a need for more bartenders.
New Business:
Kathy would like to see the bottles and cans that are used at events to go to the Bottles and Cans collection on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Volunteers are needed to collect the bottles and cans after each event.
A Thrift Shop event chaired by Lue Junious will be in January 21. More
information will be available at December’s meeting.
Karaoke Night – Sam Kuykendall is coordinating a pizza karaoke night for January 28, 2023. More information will be distributed and discussed at our upcoming meetings.
