Hi everyone, it’s Al again from Shenanigans,
This Saturday will be our next Happy2Hours event, please mark your calendars! We are bringing out our Margarita Machine along with everyone’s favorite Mr. & Mrs. Margaritaville, Norm and Renee to make them for you. August will be a HOT month, (I kinda hope not, ya right) so we will be using the frozen cocktail machine during the month. Norm was suggesting we try making frozen Pina Coladas on our “Hot August Nights BBQ Potluck on the 26th for you. I agreed, it sounds wonderful.
Our Mixologist Gus told me he will be featuring a brand-new cocktail this time, it’s called “Dragon’s BIte.” It features Bacardis Dragon Berry Rum, Malibu Rum and Orange Juice. It sounds delicious, too. But as you know, he and his bartenders can make just about anything else you’d like. We do have a very large selection of liquors to choose from.
To remind you of some changes that were made recently, to avoid confusion as for the day and times for the following ‘Social Events,’ all Happy2Hours and Potlucks will now be on Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Hopefully you will find these changes easier to remember in the future. I’ll probably remind you from time to time until everyone gets the message.
I was talking to Diane Perry about her ideas for appetizers this Saturday. The kitchen AC has been broken for quite some time, so she and her Kitchen Magicians will not be adding more heat to an already too hot to work in kitchen. I’ll just say you can expect an assortment of cool and delicious small bites from them. Hopefully, the very large and expensive AC unit will soon be built for the kitchen. Fingers crossed.
Karen Hellar told me that she will be happy to entertain us with her music to make it a real Happy Hour event once again. Well, I’ll keep it short, if it’s hot outside, it will certainly be way cooler inside once you have a cool beverage in hand and get to visit with your neighbors in a cool clubhouse. If you are new to our village, please come and get to meet all the villagers who know how to enjoy a real Happy2Hours!
