Hi everyone, it’s me again, Shenanigan Al. (Please stop groaning! My letter is not that long!)
I bet you thought I forgot to tell you about our Happy2Hour coming on Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm; I won’t say anything if you don’t! Well, since I brought it up, let me fill you in.
Reason one not to miss: Great tasting appetizers and drinks, and unheard-of prices in these times. Reason number two, another time to wish Renée Schoch Happy Birthday in case you didn’t at Taco Tuesday this week. You can wish her a birthday greeting while she pours you a “Pineapple Mule” at our Signature Bar. Okay, before you hit me with a ton of bricks for making her work the bar, her birthday is today. Okay, not good enough, how about it’s a way to milk a few more birthday greetings. Ya, I kinda like that one, but I have one better to celebrate Renée’s birthday; I’m gonna use our premium top shelf Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum for our ridiculously underpriced 2 for $5 Signature Mule Cocktail.
Well, back to drinking again; this time we are offering the Mule cocktail with either Ginger Beer, or Ginger Ale, your choice. Let’s clear something up right now, Ginger Beer contains no alcohol, it’s just very gingery, a lot gingerier than let’s say, regular ginger ale. They both provide the bubbles that make the drink great. So, as I stated, it will be your choice, sweeter or gingerier.
I asked Gus, our mixologist if he would make his Hurricane Cocktail for the main bar’s Top Shelf offering this time. He had me taste a small sample of his Hurricane cocktail during the Mardi Gras Event and I loved it! And he agreed to make them if you so desired. Well, those are the cocktails we are featuring at the H2H however, you can still request whatever you’d like from the main bar.
Let’s not forget what Diane Perry and her “Kitchen Magicians” will be making for us at all, they are bringing back the “Baked Potato Bar” again; wow was that ever a giant hit last time! If you missed it back then, don’t miss it this time, who knows when it will come back again, might be a whole year, and that would be just awful! As you are imagining, a baked potato comes with lots of toppings to choose from and I know at least one will be Diane’s Chili. Ya, I’m just saying, you’ll need to come join us to find out what else she’s offering as toppings. I love me a little suspense once in a while; don’t you?
So what’s left? Oh, for those of you who are new to our Village and Shenanigans, Happy2hours means that our non-top shelf pricing is in effect. Regular cocktails, beer, and wine are all two for five dollars. If you only want one drink it is three dollars. And the tasty appetizers, well, they are free! And, you never really know, there might be some live music as well. See, those are my little gimmicks to get you out and spend a couple of hours with us for the afternoon, beats watching bland TV. Sneaky, huh? Ya, I know.
See ya Saturday; you’ve got other plans? Really?! Change them! Oh no, just one more thing; you know that neighbor of yours that never found the clubhouse yet tell them about our Happy2Hours, or just drag them along with you. Now I’m done.
