Happy2Hours Mardi Gras Saturday

Feb 9, 2026

Hi everyone, it’s me, “Bourbon Street Al” with news of another awesome Shenanigans Event coming on Saturday.

Before I get to the awesome event news, all of us from Shenanigans want to thank all of you who joined us for our recent Chinese New Year event. I was told that 145 of you came to join in on the fun for that event. What an amazing time we all had. Kitchen Magician Cathy Jones’ appetizer choices were so tasty, Brian and Sam’s music playlist was spot on, and you liked my special signature cocktail, the “Fire Horse Moon.” Moreover, it was the best attended Shenanigans event in a long time and that makes volunteering for these events all the better for us.

Now on to the subject of this Blast Out message. On Saturday February 14, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm we will celebrate Mardi Gras at Shenanigans as a SUPER Happy2Hours three days before “Fat Tuesday” this year. I’m sure some of you know that the SUPER versions of our Happy2Hours feature a little more of everything. It’s the bar and kitchen’s way of paying you back for being such wonderful company for us on these dedicated events.

This year, the Kitchen Magicians will be bringing Diane Perry’s favorite New Orleans recipes to the party. Such as a New Orleans style Shrimp Remoulade, an absolute treat for your tastebuds, and tasty Muffuletta mini sandwiches, two of my personal favorite appetizers that we offer free of charge to you. We will finish with Beignets as a special sweet treat for you. As appetizers go, we think you will find them all a perfect New Orleans treat!

The Signature Bar’s $3.00 cocktail will be your favorite “Hot Buttered Rum.” Ya, the one we ran out of not long ago. I promised you that we would bring it back as soon as we could, and this is the time. I will have help getting the batter ingredients put together so, it’s a good bet we will not run out this time.

Lakeview Village’s DJ’s extraordinaire, Brian and Sam, will provide the theme music for us. I bet Brian’s playlist will feature some cool Bourbon Street Jazz sprinkled in for the perfect Mardi Gras playlist.

I will see that Mardi Gras Beads are handed out as you arrive, too. As you most likely already know that it is tradition to toss your beads to the crowd on Bourbon Street, ya, don’t do that here though, but you can wear them and take them home with you if you wish.

Overall, I think we will show you a fun time on Saturday and I hope you will plan to join us!

Al Fichera,
Still Shenanigans Bar Manager
