Aloha everyone, it’s “Tiny Bubbles Al”!
You had to know this letter was coming after getting your copy of the Crier this week. Ask me if I’m excited to see our Luau back on the calendar, silly question! Of course, I am. However, there might be a little underlying motivation in it for me, such as my 83rd birthday happens to be a couple of days later, so “Party On Tiny Bubbles!” Who doesn’t love a cool party!
I might need to darken your emails once again this week, because this year our Luau is gonna be BIG! There’s a lot of information that I need to keep as a surprise for you but there’s some things I can leak out and get away with it. Perhaps I should start out with this year the Luau is going to be three (3) hours long! Yes, there’s just so much you can do in two hours, so forgive us, we had to agree on three hours this year. What else? Well, the Signature Bar with your favorite hosts Norm and Renée will be serving the best Mai Tais ever (in my humble opinion it’s my recipe) and it’s still gonna be two Mai Tais for only five (5) bucks! If you’ve been to our previous Luaus, you’ve had these Mai Tais before, and loved them. (It should be noted, I consider them appropriate birthday highballs, I’m just saying!) Before I forget to say, our Main Bar will be offering a Shark Bite Cocktail for $5.00, just check out what Joe’s Crab Shack charges for them, please don’t gulp so loud, okay? Our Mixologist, Gus, got the recipe, and I’m not asking how, it’s the same cocktail at our prices. I bet you could get him to make a Pina Colada as well, if that floats your outrigger.
I’m gonna ask if anyone reading this unabashed promotional letter, knows how to teach us the Hula or may know of someone who can do that, please contact me at al.fichera@gmail.com or (916) 342-3259 right away, I thought it would be fun to have a Hula lesson and of course prizes for the best male and female Hula dancer. Yes, there will be prizes this year, hopefully for a Hula and most certainly for the best Hawaiian outfits. Of course, for both male and female, it’s Father’s Day month, can’t forget the men, right?
The next letter I will send will certainly cover the “Hawaiian Themed Appetizers” that Diane Perry and her “Kitchen Magicians” are planning for you. I have heard that all of her crew have plans on making one of their own special Hawaiian appetizers for us. I will promise to blab at least one of the appetizers if I get someone to contact me about teaching the Hula for us. If not, I guess there will be fewer prizes to give out, how sad. 😢
Okay, I betta close now before I get pelted with POI for another long letter.
Trust me, I’ll be back!
Aloha,
Al Fichera
Shenanigans Bar Manager
