RV OWNERS,
The security failures in the park and particularly in the RV storage area were the subject of last week’s neighborhood awareness meeting in the clubhouse. If you are concerned about the inadequate security features of this parking area and would like to join other RV owners and Lakeview Village residents in an appeal to Lakeview’s owners about making significant improvements, would you send me your email address so we can communicate together and strengthen our voice? dcoller58@gmail.com
I am Duane Coller, at 6839 Tandy Ln, and have been a resident here for nearly 4 years. My motorhome has been vandalized 3 times while in the lot and avoided damage on a couple other incursions. I have talked with several of you who have had similar experiences. As repairs are expensive and a real nuisance, I’m guessing you share the desire to see this threat greatly reduced through improved security measures.
The Citrus Heights Police Department has provided a list of the vandalism reports over the past four years for us to validate our claim that the security in the lot is woefully inadequate. In addition to the obvious “break-ins”, another concern is that some vandalism has occurred without breaching the fence, giving the appearance of an “inside” job by perpetrators who have acquired an access code. Clearly some changes need to take place.
We welcome your suggestions and believe that an appeal will have the most impact coming from the greatest number of concerned and impacted residents. We are planning on directly inviting Citrus Heights law enforcement and city government officials to weigh in with us for their vested interest in the security of their citizens living here. If you would like to meet together to discuss this situation we can certainly do that as well, and a meeting time will be announced. Our first step is for the RV owners to identify their desire to see changes made. I will keep your email private, and communicate bcc to apprise you of developments and offer an approach if you desire to be represented. We need to get this done.
Thank you,
Duane
