Shenanigans’ 3rd ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF Happy2Hours
January 10, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
If you would like to show off your Chili making skills to the village and have the possibility of winning the bragging rights as well as a handsome cash prize, please let us know by confirming your participation with us. We are looking for 16 contestants once more for the 3rd time. (The number of contestants relate to how many power outlets we can provide for the event.) If you were a winner, or a runner-up in one of the last two years, now is the time to retain your earned title and bragging rights. Or someone else will be our next big winner.
· IMPORTANT: What you need to do first, enter the contest by contacting me at al.fichera@gmail.com confirming your intent to enter your chili.
- Chili entries are limited to 16 participants; two contestants will be seated per 6 ft table.
- We will provide your chili an ID number so people can vote for you.
- The Kitchen Committee will provide bowls, ladles, tasting spoons, plus a magic-marker to label your chili entry number on the bowls.
- Any type of chili is fine to enter. (Beef, vegetarian, chicken, turkey, etc.)
- Any chili add-ons such as sour cream, shredded cheese, onions, cornbread, whatever, you will need to provide them yourself. Remember, you only have 3 ft of display space.
- Please have your recipe ingredients written on a small card to be posted by your entry so our guests can check for any allergy concerns they may have.
- Your chili entry needs to be in a container that keeps food warm, such as a crockpot.
- Participants must have their table setup and ready by 3:30 p.m. for Shenanigans opening at 4:00 p.m. and the 4:15 to 5:00 p.m. tasting period.
- The voting period will be from 5:00 – 5:15 p.m.
- Prizes will be immediately awarded after the vote tallying. We will have 3 cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
