I need to inform you about something I’d rather not have to do, but I must. It’s about the cost of bar operations during these difficult economic times. As you must certainly know yourselves with any trip to a grocery store, the cost of goods has gone up, and up. Obviously, that has happened to Shenanigans beverage expenses as well.
Thanks to your wonderful support of the premium top shelf cocktails we offer, it has helped us keep the discounted two for five-dollar Happy2Hour price in effect for the past few years. However, the escalating prices have gobbled up whatever our top shelf line was able to earn for us. So, let me pull the bandaid off this message quickly; the two for five-dollar pricing can no longer be supported. However, we are not losing any of the Happy2Hour events and we will keep offering Free Appetizers for you, but we will need to return to the normal $3.00 ticket price for all well-cocktails, beer, and wine.
Here goes the second pull of the bandaid, all top shelf premium cocktails will go to $6.00 each effective starting with the Route 66 Event in August. The upside of this means that there are only two tiers of alcohol ticket pricing now, either $3.00 or $6.00. We are keeping the soft drink pricing at $1.00 for as long as we can.
If you’ve ever purchased a cocktail, beer, wine or soft drinks in a restaurant or bar, our prices are more than fair. The last time I ordered a glass of wine in a restaurant, I was charged $14.00; if I was at Shenanigans that would have purchased four and one-half cups of wine! Next time I’m out in that restaurant, I’m ordering a glass of water! Haha, that’ll teach them!
Perhaps, you are wondering about any of the two for five-dollar tickets you might be still holding, will we continue to honor those tickets. The answer is YES, we will until they are gone, and hopefully that will be sometime before this year ends.
I hope you will understand and continue to support Shenanigans as you have over the years. We will continue trying to come up with themed cocktails that hopefully will be liked, and please know that you will always have Free Appetizers for all of the Happy2Hours in the future.
